Ahh, I don't have access to that file so I can't read that notice :) I
assume that the file has more information than just the name and email
address (and possibly organization name in case of blanket assignments)
of individuals. It might not be a violation of privacy to maintain a
list of current contributors publicly, but that will result in a number
of other problems, so I guess there's no easy solution to this.
