The test suite covers this, and I don't see any failures. I don't see
it in manual testing, either.

Sorry, I cannot reproduce this.
Do you have any custom patches for resolv.conf handling? Could you post
a link to your source repository?
(I've just fixed another resolv.conf handling problem, but it's
unrelated to your problem, I assume.)
