I was thinking in something less succinct, like:

  "glibc detected an invalid stdio handle (vtable verification failure).
   It could be due a memory corruption on file vtable or invalid internal
   states (maybe due shared object namespace colision)."

It does not cover all possible failure situation, but hints the user of
what might be wrong.
