I was enthusiastic about the change four months ago when it was submitted.
Since then I've seen discussion of far more important issues on this list
stalled due to lack of maintainers' response. Facing the prospect of waiting
for copyright assignment, then submitting a new patch that will be more
complex and need who knows how many pings and months before getting in, I'd
rather drop it here and now. It's not like LD_AUDIT is widely used, after
all.
