For this particular release, comparisons would be more meaningful if you
put the contents of the glibc-ports-2.16.0 tarball in a ports/
subdirectory of glibc-2.16.0 before comparing, so that all the files that
were already in the ports add-on don't show up as new.
Similarly, anyone looking at changes using git should use commands such as
"git shortlog glibc-2.16-ports-merge..HEAD", rather than using the
glibc-2.16.0 tag for that purpose.
