I'm sorry! Here is the English translation of that text:
===
Interlingua (see http://www.interlingua.com) is an international
auxiliary language constructed by a team of professional linguists
around the 1950. It is based on English, French, Italian and
Spanish/Portuguese (with some contributions from German and Russian) and
is the registration of the vocabulary of the occidental world, with a
simple grammar somehow similar to that of English.
By learning it, speakers of non-neolatin languages can gain the ability
to communicate with more than 400 millions of speakers (think of
south-america and southern Europe!) with a minimum effort!
===
As for the locale code: I don't know if it's mandatory to have a code
like xy_VZ; in that case, that for interlingua could be ia_IA.
But, if there are not technical problems (and I didn't met any), just
"ia" should be enough, since interlingua is not region specific.
BTW, I don't receive any mail from the list: I just read your message in
the web archive; maybe the list server is in some antispam lists, and
despammed.com does filter it?
