Seems to work for me just fine. And you haven't included any register
info or hints where in the function it crashes. You'll have to debug it
yourself, I fear.
ps On debian we don't pre-generate all of the locales.
This doesn't matter. We don't rely on the system's locales for the
tests. All necessary locale data is generated during the test run or
something is wrong.
