dear all,
i am trying to build the glibc-2.2.5 for a powerpc-linux target on a
i686-pc-cygwin32 host and i am encountering the following problem :
powerpc-linux-gcc: Internal compiler error: program cc1 got fatal signal 11
make[2]: *** [/crossdev/build/glibc-2.2.5-powerpc/nss/nsswitch.o] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/pristine/glibc-2.2.5/nss'
make[1]: *** [nss/subdir_lib] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/pristine/glibc-2.2.5'
make: *** [all] Error 2
i have tried to build the glibc on a i686-pc-linux-gnu platform and
everything works nicely, no errors.
i am using the following equipment
- athlon 800 - 392MB RAM
- windows 2000 professional
- the latest cygwin distribution including
* gcc-2.95.3-5 as a native gcc
i used different glibc's (2.2.3, 2.2.4 and 2.2.5) and a differente
environment (winNT4.0 on an athlon 1000) , but the process always fails at
the same stage.
any help would be appreciated very much !
thanks,
peter
