I have never tried make-3.77 against glibc, but -3.77 failed
to build procps because $(wildcard PATTERN) matching wasn't expanding
to anything. I never saw it core, but I tend to make my homebrew
distribution in a rather fixed order.
Don't know which version of glibc -- I think it was around Aug
10th that I noticed the bug through, which is around glibc-2.0.7pre*
and glibc-2.0.95.
I think I saw comments on the list that indicated that the glob
bits of glibc could be backported into make to get it to work, but
I didn't check into it too closely. I'm using make-3.76.1 right now.
