With 2.1.125 and 2.0.97-.98 I wasn't having any problems. I just
started building 2.0.99 under 2.1.126 in my now-2.0.88 build environment.
After that, I do a full rebuild with my homebrew-distribution script.
That usually takes ~5 hours (compile everything with everything, which
probably isn't normal but means that I have a lot less problems than
the average person, IMHO).
I build it on a P6 for a P5 and, with previous versions, haven't had
a problem on either side.
