I just checked in the result of Kawa's participation in Google Summer of
Code.
Charles Turner, who is a 2nd-year student at the University of York
(England),
enhanced the printer with support for SRFI-38 "External Representation
for Data
With Shared Structure" (http://srfi.schemers.org/srfi-38/). I believe
Kawa now
has one of the most robust and efficient implementations of this
functionality.
Charles has also contributed a number of smaller fixes, improvements and
suggestions
- look for his name in the ChangeLogs. He is continuing to stay active
in the
Kawa community.
Thanks to Charles for putting up with my nit-picky requests;
to Jamison Hope for providing co-mentorship and advice;
to Google for sponsoring Google Summer of Code; and the GNU/FSF volunteers
for organizing a GNU umbrella for Kawa and other GNU projects.
