- Subject: Path to javac
Hi:
I'm Tim.
FYI: I'm a long time (web) programmer. New to scheme, but somewhat
familiar with other lispish languages. (elisp, newlisp, autolisp
long ago)
Total noob when it comes to java.
I'm using slackware 13.0 32-bit and compiling from source.
I just installed the JDK from jdk-6u18-linux-i586.bin.
the path to javac is /usr/lib/java/bin/javac
When I run make, make complains that it cannot find javac.
What is the appropriate method with which to set the path to javac?
Should it be added to $PATH or is there another variable?
Pointers to URL docs would be fine.
thanks
