There is a preview of the revised Kawa home-page
temporarily at:
http://per.bothner.com/tmp/kawa/index.html
I'm curious as to what people think of it, and would
appreciate feedback:
* Are there are browser portability problems? The design works
best with modern browsers thatsupport "fixed" regions. I mostly
use Mozilla/Firefox, but it also seems to work ok with Konquoror;
I assume it would also work with Safari. It does *not* work as
designed in Internet Explorer, but hopefully the "fallback"
behavior is reasonable. It uses stylesheets, but seems to degrade
ok when styling is turned off or in text-mode browsers.
* Kawa's biggest problem is (lack of) visibility. I'm hoping the
new home page is an improvement, but I'm surely it could be better.
It clearly isn't "sexy" but let's at least make it informative and
easy to navigate. Suggestions welcome.
* Is the navigation bar easy to use or confusing?
* Is there missing information? People have suggested a wiki for
FAQs and other snippets of information, but that assumes a
volunteer to maintain/organize it, plus a suitable site.
