core file support for cross gdb

Hi,
Do you know if core file support is available for a cross gdb/insight ?
I have built a cross gdb/insight (from CVS) for a cygwin/NT host and a
arm-linux-gnu target.
It works fine (with gdbserver on target) .....
But I'm not able to load a core file generated on the target.
>From the host gdb, the target core-file core.xxx gives the error "no core file
support" (or something like that).
Is there a special configure option available when building gdb ?
