Andreas,

This is probably not the best place to ask this question, since you
are really looking for a Cygwin or DJGPP expert, not an insight
expert.

That being said, I forwarded your question to DJ Delorie, and the
answer is:

    The correct target is i586-pc-msdosdjgpp
