I don't believe anyone is working in isolation... the CVS repository
is publicly available.

As far as "ignoring" potential users, unfortunately, most (all?) of us
do not get paid to work on Guile. We have other commitments, in order to
keep from starving or living on the street. Many problems/requests/etc
are not dealt with, like in a lot of projects, because nobody has enough
time to investigate them. Sorry.
