I recall that Tom Lord, the first (?) maintainer/developer of Guile got 
quite inspired by plan-9 during a long silent period of hacking. When he 
eventually made a guile release, the module solution was to use a name 
space, much like plan-9, for accessing modules.

But I may be wrong....
