guile: server+client ideology?

Hello:

I just wonder what people is thinking about the possibility of
implementing guile as a server + client program. The reason is
that guile seems to be too big and too slow when starting.

At the same time, according to general ideology of its using, it
seems to be probable, that one copy of guile server can satisfy
requests from many applications without loss of efficiency.

For example, I'm currently using scwm as a window manager, which
takes about 3.6Mb of memory. I think, its underlying guile
interpretator could be used to make other small jobs for me, and
I shall not notice substational regress in windows management :).

I would like to use guile-scsh for small everyday tasks instead
of awk or shell scripts (or inside them). Currently, it seems to
be nearly impossible, because it takes about 4 seconds just to
start guile and load scsh.

The same thing with guile-gtk and other extremely convenient and
potentially very useful guile-based utilities.

Did not anybody think about this possibility?
