I made a patch for guile 1.3 with the (1 line) slow read fix. I packaged it as an RPM and uploaded it to vicarious-existence.mit.edu: ftp://vicarious-existence.mit.edu/pub/scwm/rpm/guile-1.3-3.src.rpm. ftp://vicarious-existence.mit.edu/pub/scwm/rpm/guile-1.3-3.rh4.2.i386.rpm ftp://vicarious-existence.mit.edu/pub/scwm/rpm/guile-devel-1.3-3.rh4.2.i386.rpm The binary RPMs were built on RH4.2. I would have put them into .../rpm/rh4.2, but I don't have write access to that directory. I expect that someone with write access will move them there shortly. If you need the fix (scwm can be painful to use without it), then feel free to use build from the source RPM. If you're using RH4.2, you should be able avoid building & just use the binary RPMs. I hope to build & upload a 5.2 i386 binary RPM tonight (if someone doesn't beat me to it). -- Harvey J.
