The FSF announcement mentioned some time ago, that the spreadsheet tool 'Oleo' might soon use guile as extension language. If Emacs is going to use guile sometimes as extension language, will then Guile-Oleo become obsolete, as there is already a Spreadsheet calculator written as Emacs script ('Dismal') ? Or is it worth anyways to develop applications with guile-extensibility outside the Emacs, even when copy- lefted Emacs modes with about the same functionality already exist? How far should the usage of Scheme go? Should it only replace the native .rc -files of an application, or should a great deal C-code be replaced with Scheme scripts as well? Which role does the module system and hobbit play when it comes to guilification of application software? Klaus Schilling
