Redundant files?

I have been rebuilding version 1.6 of gsl and the following files do not
appear to have any role (that I can see!):
/poly/norm.c
/fft/real.c
The only place /poly/norm.c is referenced is in /poly/zsolve.c but this
lexical inclusion is commented-out. I can find no reference anywhere for
/fft/real.c.
Are these two files left over from any earlier version and their removal
overlooked?
