Hi,
I wrote a patch and would like to know if you consider it useful.
This patch provides new functions to the gsl_permutation module:
- powerful randomization (using bijection tab)
- convert to/from canonical form (using Foata bijection)
- inversions and cycles count
- multiplication of two permutations
The patch also provides a modification to the permutation.texi
documentation for describing the new functions.
Maybe some adaptations should be done to this patch for its best
inclusion to gsl project. Just tell me what to do for that, and I will
make it as soon as possible.
Tell me too, if I must send this patch directly attached to a mail to
this mailing list please.
