Extending texinfo turned out to be a complicated solution. With
hindsight I have learned that it would have been better to use SGML. I
am planning to convert the documentation to use the Docbook DTD, and get
rid of texinfo-math. Recently there was a request on gnu.announce for
someone to write an SGML-to-texinfo converter. Hopefully someone will do
that so that we can make use of it.
If you like, I can make a note to contact you when I start working on
the conversion to SGML, to let you know how it goes. R looks very nice,
by the way.
