texinfo-math ?

Dear GSL'ers,
I only today found a reference to GSL.
	(http://sourceware.cygnus.com/gsl/ and
	 ftp://sourceware.cygnus.com/pub/gsl/).

I was especially impressed by your documentation.
Since I'm co-authoring a related GNU (GPL) project
(The "R" Statistics Environment, see http://cran.stat.wisc.edu/ or any
mirror)
I've subscribed to your announce list (but not to this one.. I already get too
much traffic).

As said, I'm very thrilled by the nice docu, you were able to do with
*.texi files, by using
@equation
	...
@end equation
and  @math{....}.

I'm wondering about the potential of this approach for our own project.

On the FTP site, I've see a texinfo-math-.. tar file which looked not too
recent, and I was wondering what the support is.
Will these become part of mainstream texinfo, in the foreseeable future?

Thanks for any info pointers!
