On the libstdc++, you're welcome! On the WM, I wonder why fvwm
should be problematic -- ah, unless maybe its linked against
libncurses, which is another candidate for recompilation with
glibc 2.1.1. Anyway, I think you really can't do better than
fvwm2. It'll do just about anything that the more
widely-trumpeted "new" window managers will do, with less fuss
and a smaller memory footprint. Well, yes, this is off-topic.
