[Bug libc/22825] New: Implement multiarch ldconfig

https://sourceware.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=22825

            Bug ID: 22825
           Summary: Implement multiarch ldconfig
           Product: glibc
           Version: 2.24
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: libc
Assignee: unassigned at sourceware dot org
Reporter: javier--CbphpPOVok9WFxGWvC7CbkqlsxDZyT at jasp dot net
CC: drepper.fsp at gmail dot com
  Target Milestone: ---

It is a design decision to use ldconfig to handle different architectures and
share /etc/ld.so.cache. However, ldconfig does not handle all supported
architectures. Maintaining a multiarch ldconfig is hard without upstream
cooperation. Would this feature be accepted?
