[Bug libc/227] possible problem with ld.so and brk management

The patch attachment #163 is a confirmed fix for compiling glibc from source
with >=binutils-2.15.9x where it would otherwise randomly segfault.

This bug only seems to having started showing up with binutils-2.15.9x.
We have many users that were previously perfectly able to compile glibc
from source that are no longer able to, unless they are/were to patch,
recompile and upgrade to a kernel that has a workaround for this recent
toolchain bug.
So I really do hope to see this patch make it into CVS as it does effect a large
number of users.
