I didn't mean to imply that; sorry. My conversations with a (small, possibly non-representative) subset, just indicated that they would have liked to submit patches, but didn't think they would be accepted, didn't know how to submit them appropriately, etc. I have gotten some mail from people indicating that they're happy to see the patches going in.
