Hi, we have a new snapshot in our continuing drama of the GDB 4.17 release. I wanted to make a "this is the release unless something is very wrong" release and then kick 4.17 out, but we've added a lot of important stuff in this snapshot so I want to get it out to people for some final sanity testing. I'll make the "this is the release unless something is very wrong" release in a day (or two at the latest) and we'll put 4.17 up on prep a day or so after that. The files are ftp://ftp.cygnus.com/private/gdb-4.16.98.tar.gz ftp://ftp.cygnus.com/private/gdb-4.16.98.tar.bz2 ftp://ftp.cygnus.com/private/gdb-4.16.97-4.16.98.diffs.gz The biggest changes in here are to add Solaris x86 support, and update the OSR5/UnixWare2/7 support--thanks go to Peter Schauer and Kean Johnston for getting these in. There are a number of smaller changes from problems that people found with the last snapshot; see the ChangeLog or diffs for details. Jason
