SOLVED!!!
Many Archlinux updates have come and gone in the meantime.
Now, when I start gdb I get:
...
Cannot exec /ban-bash -c exec /home/pub/workspace/MultipleWindowsA/multipleA .
...
while at the time I reported this bug, Igot:
...
Cannot exec /home/pub/workspace/MultipleWindowsA/multipleA -c exec
/home/pub/workspace/MultipleWindowsA/multipleA .
...
So, the SHELL environment variable somewhere went wrong during installation of
Archlinux. Don't ask me where.
The status of the bug is still NEW. Hopefully, indeed you did not yet spend any
time on this bug.
