To your 2nd suggestion Pedro: As the GUI is completely frozen after the
breakpoint, I have no way to access a console window (Alt-Tab does not work).
I understand your explanation, but I'm a bit dumb-founded: How is it OK that a
single application can hang the entire OS's GUI? How do people debug GUI
applications in this environment? Is there something odd about the application
I'm looking at?
I appreciate your taking the time to explain this. As background, I'm trying to
add a feature to an open-source application, and have no idea if there is
something 'special' about this application's GUI framework...
