I build gdb with hpux make all the time on hpux 11.00 and hpux 11.11. Just today, I built gdb 6.1.1 on hpux 11.00 several times with this version of hpux make:
% what /usr/bin/make
/usr/bin/make:
$Revision: 82.20.1.7 $
PATCH_11_00: main.o doname.o misc.o files.o rules.o dosys.o gram.o dyndep.o prtmem.o nl_strchr.o filehash.o parallel.o hpux_rel.o 99/05/25
The original code that caused a problem (ALL_BUILD_MODULES) is no longer in the top level build machinery.
This problem was originally reported against gdb 5.2.
If it happens again with gdb 6.1.1 or later, please file a new PR, and include the output of "what /usr/bin/make".
