The file c-lang.c (actually *-lang.c) contains static initializers of the form:
&builtin_type_int
unfortunatly this doesn't work with multi-arch.
- the code restricts things to a single architecture being active at any time
- the code stops the builtin types being made per-architecture (implemented using a gdbarch_data()) object.
