I really can't figure out what you are trying to say here.  
Perhaps you could just say it, and then that would be clearer.

Last week on the gdb and gdb-patches mailing lists, we discussed all the
issues related to the kernel feature.  The conclusion was that for gdb's
purposes we would prefer the auxv access feature a la Solaris, and I would
argue for that feature as the first preference.  On Thursday I took up the
issue with the kernel developers by posting this patch.  I am still waiting
for a response, and we don't know anything more now than we did on
Wednesday about what kernel feature will actually go in.  How else did you
expect or want things to go?  What is it that has gone unnoticed by whom,
and what shame has this caused you?
