:-) Yes, the wording needs a bit of tuning! The timing is also not
well-specified, in theory one could declare code obsolete just before
a release, and remove it right after, but the intent is for it to be
publicly marked as trashcan material for a substantial period of time.
For a long-dead machine this is easy, but I figure at some point we
might take aim at newer code. For instance, someone might try to kill
off the m88k support, but there are people on this list who've been
using it fairly recently.
