Meeting minutes 20040418

Elena, Mark, Kris, Phil, Tim, cagney, Sami, Nurdin, Rick, Mike.

Sami:
Process picker/druid

Added an intro window explaining what the process picker / session
manager does.

Added a way to get back to the session manager from a session, to pick
a different process. Done via menu.

You can switch between sessions. Right now only tested with the
monitor window open. Not sure what would happen if there are other
windows opened, like the source window for instance.

Usually "Open" will not get rid of the existing session, just add others.

Various spelling mistakes

In the monitor displaying pids instead of thread ids.

Bug: creating a third session not possible. "Finish" button greyed out.
Actually it seems to not be enabled ever.

Bug: removing proceses from a session, creates exceptions.

Rick demo:

Choosing an executable to run, you can add options like env variables
and arguments to the executable. YOu can do that while already
debugging something else. Can you proceed with a full debugging
session though?

Setting/viewing env variables: hould have a way to have a display/set of them.
Bring up a separate window? Use tabs like eclipse?
Same for setting I/O redirection and paramaters.

Tim:
not checked stuff in yet. No demo.
You can use the hpd console

Question about Kris's test system: cagney's requirement that the tests
can be run on a machine not on the network. Download the scripts
tarball manually and upload of results will be delayed and/or done
from a different machine. This is possible to implement but at the
moment the goal is to have an easily runnable automated system. Code
is open, contributions welcome. [One ought to think then also about
how a cvs update/checkout can be done if one is not on the net]
