That's pretty much what I figured.
So in the elfutils world, the equivalents would be the various forms of
"just handle it". That is, either via the relocate branch work, or some
new hack that violates the libdwfl/libdw layering (which is already not
that strict) somehow to decompress and then relocate. The former is
clearly the cleaner answer, if we have sufficient confidence in the branch
code.
