Thanks! Mark's suggestion solved the problem.
As for tweaking prelink, I already sent this patch to Jakub:

It was just a couple of days ago, not enough time for review I know,
but I was half-expecting a "you're crazy" response. Reassuring to hear
that that might not happen :)
