There's a trivial example in the eCos reference:

You don't need any special compiler switches. Build your application
.cxx files in the same way that you build application .c files for use
with eCos. Having said that, you might decide to build with "-Wno-undef"
to eliminate various (benign) warning messages triggered by the uSTL
header files.
