jffs2 on IDE?

Hi,

is it possible to use a jffs2 filesystem on a IDE partition?
In other words, is there an eCos equivalent of block2mtd Linux
driver? I know that this is not really the intended way of using
it, but I don't see any other option...

If not, what is the recommended way of creating a filesystem
on an industrial PC platform using CF-cards for data, where
an unclean shutdown can't be avoided?

I suppose that either changing (mainly) the flashio.c in jffs2
code or implementing the block2mtd should be possible, meybe
someone did implement this already?

Thanks
