Second, there should be no need to change anything in ecos.db. The
path names should be relative. I recommended reverting those changes.

I suspect the problem is caused by an incompatible change in the
cygwin world, which broke the version of ecosconfig.exe shipped with
the 2.0 release. Try a newer version from
