You must be looking in the wrong place. Take a look at:
http://ecos.sourceware.org/docs-latest/ref/ecos-ref.html

It is supported. Maybe you have an old version of eCos. Take a look at:
http://ecos.sourceware.org/anoncvs.html
for getting an up to date version.
