However, the EB55 only has DB9 connectors for the first two ports. The
third is probably available on the IO expansion connector. However,
there are no tranceivers and the connector is not fitted to the board
by default.

So while the software can easily be extended as Andrew indicates,
there are more serious hardware barriers.
