Re: Flash infrastructure rework


This looks like good stuff. I do especially like the lack of flash_info*
being passed around everywhere like in my own patch. I'll have to find
some time to try it out.

One question -- what do you think of the possibility of supporting paged
flash devices? This was the main motivation with my patch for making the
API take offsets into the flash device rather than absolute memory
addresses.

By paged flash device I mean one where only say 256k are visible in the
memory map at any one time, controlled via a separate I/O location.
Several of our older boards (previously running DOS) have this
architecture.
