- Subject: [ECOS] unable to get IP address using do_bootp
Hi,
I am trying to use BOOTP to retrieve the IP address for my
target. I use the do_bootp function call to do this.
However, it always fails.
I am using the dhcpd server on an RH9 linux box. I can see
the server receiving the bootp request and sending a reply.
However, the recvfrom statement in the do_bootp routine
doesnt seem to get any valid data.
I also tried compiling in the BOOTP feature using
configtool (instead of doing it in my application) but was
unsuccessful there as well.
Things only work when I enable DHCP.
I HAVE disabled BOOTP for RedBoot (I read somewhere that
you cannot have BOOTP enable for both the eCos app and
redBoot).
Any ideas as to what I could be doing wrong?
Thanks.
