Generate a linker map and find out where that entry should have come from.

Last I knew the intel tools worked (although they may have been updated
since I last used them).
I am currently using the Intel's Xscale toolcahin xscale-010827
Did you try a clean build tree? Just on the offchance something from the
previous compiler is around and confusing things.
I am building the redboot every time after deleting the build dir and
re-creating it.
