If the toolchain is in place, with the support used by eCos
(this means GCC 2.96 or so, possibly a newer version), then
getting eCos running on a totally new architecture will take
approximately 4-6 weeks.  This of course is a totally generalized
estimate; some platforms may take more, some less.
