- Subject: [ECOS] differences between eCos tools
Hi,
In the site http://sources.redhat.com/ecos/install-linux.html
it is mentioned that tools vary depending on the architecture to be supported.
What is the difference between Intel x86 (i386-elf) and Linux Synthetic (i686-pc-linux-gnu)
architectures except that one requires i386-elf and another requires i686-pc-linux-gnu tools
for development ? The build/install procedures are alike. What's the difference betn
these 2 tools and these 2 architectures ?
I am slightly confused as I am just starting work on eCos.
Regards,
Subodh
