EICE ERROR

I am trying to establish connection between Cirrus Logic EP7312 board and
gdb for eCos running on Linux using Jeeni.
Jeeni is connected to EP7312 using 14 pin JTAG . The connection between the
Linux machine and Jeeni is through ethernet.
In order to connect to Jeeni I invoke the command. target rdi e:10.0.0.42

I am getting the following text which shows EICE ERROR:

JEENI (ADP,ARM7TDI,RST) Rev 2.2
Rebuilt on Jan 12 2001 at 14:22:34
EICE ERROR: 00000008,00000020
SN=0106J145 ENET=00:80:CF:00:0F:A4 IP=10.0.0.42 (255.255.255.0)
Gateway=10.0.0.5
RDI_CPUread: internal error, target world is broken
Connected to ARM RDI target.

Since I am not getting a JTAG ERROR and only EICE ERROR it means that the
JTAG interface is proper but the debug interface of the board is not proper.
I have made SW1 low and SW3 high on the EP7312 board as instructed in the
EP7312 manual.
Can you please tell me the meaning of the error code associated with this.
Also can you suggest a way to overcome the problem.
regards
--Rudra
