Well, I'm getting there. 2.9 builds OK as hppa-elf. That's pretty weird, 
on-again off-again support for the target. I'm trying some gcc builds right 
now.

Purely for my curiosity: Has there ever been any consideration mentioned by 
anyone for a PA-RISC port?
